Nature School

At Back 2 Nature Learning Center, outdoors is the classroom. We are a 100% outdoor, nature-inspired learning space where children are encouraged to roam, explore, create and lead their own learning journeys.

Through child-led experiences, hands-on discovery and the freedom of unstructured play, children learn at their own pace while building confidence, curiosity and connection.

Set on a lively little farm with chickens, goats, and the occasional peacock strut, our space invites children to connect with animals, observe desert wildlife and discover the wonders of the natural world.

From mud kitchens and sand pits to climbing zones, nature art and open-ended play spaces, there is always room for imagination, experimentation and a little mess.

Our philosophy blends child-led learning, nature-based exploration, and regenerative education. We believe children learn through meaningful experiences—counting rocks, observing insects, building with natural materials, solving problems, asking questions and collaborating with others.

Whether joining a family nature class, homeschool enrichment class or community event - children have opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and discover how they learn best.

We also believe childhood is about more than academics. It is about having the freedom to take risks, make mistakes, build friendships, connect with the earth, and simply be a child. We make room for families to connect, friendships to grow, and our village to flourish together.

At Back 2 Nature, we believe we are not separate from nature—we are nature. Our goal is to nurture a deeper connection between children, their community and the living world around them.
